4th IPY Field School at UNIS

Applications to the fourth (International Polar Year) IPY Field School are now being accepted.

Course dates: 25 June – 13 July 2012

Application deadline: 01 April 2012

The international and interdisciplinary IPY Field School is for 25top undergraduate and early graduate level students. The course will focus on environmental change in the Polar areas based upon past, present and future research being done in the Arctic during and after the IPY. The field school is a hands-on interdisciplinary Arctic experience for the students, with field work and excursions, project work with poster presentation and career development lectures.

The field school is a collaborative initiative between IPY Norway, UNIS, UArctic and the Association of Early Career Polar Scientists (APECS), and with financial support from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
